Common questions

If I go ahead, does the advocate handle the whole case?
Yes. Advocate Rahman takes a matter end to end — the legal notice, filing, every hearing, the judgment, and execution of the decree, which is the stage that turns an order into money paid or property handed over. You deal with the same advocate throughout, and each stage is explained to you in Tamil or English as it comes up.
Will the advocate appear in court himself, or send someone else?
Himself. Advocate Rahman is in court every working day, and in a matter he takes on he appears personally at every hearing. A case is not passed to a junior or to another advocate, so the person who reads your documents at the consultation is the person who argues them.
How is the fee for the whole case worked out?
It depends on the matter — the court, the stages it will need and the work at each — so it is not quoted on this website. It is discussed with you directly after the consultation, once your documents have been seen, and agreed before any work begins. The consultation itself is a separate, fixed ₹500 for 30 minutes.
Why is a consultation ₹500 for 30 minutes?
Because the price is fixed and the time is yours alone. ₹500 is confirmed before you commit, there is no hourly meter, and nothing further is charged unless you choose to engage the advocate for the case. The thirty minutes are with the enrolled advocate himself, in Tamil or English, applying the law to your own documents — which forum, which route, and what it would involve. A reply to a booking request comes within one working day, or the same working day if it is urgent and you call or message on WhatsApp to say so.
What does a consultation cost?
A consultation is a fixed ₹500 for 30 minutes. The fee is confirmed before you commit to a time, and nothing further is charged unless you choose to engage the advocate.
Do you handle cases outside Chennai?
No — this practice appears in the Chennai courts only. If your matter is heard elsewhere, a consultation can still be worth the half hour: you will leave understanding the process and what to look for in a local advocate, but you will need one.
Can I consult in Tamil?
Yes. Consultations are available in Tamil or English, whichever you are more comfortable with.
What should I bring?
Whatever documents you already have — deeds, notices, court papers, messages. Once a time is confirmed we tell you exactly which ones matter for your kind of matter.
Does reading this site make you my lawyer?
No. This site provides general legal information only. A lawyer–client relationship begins only when you formally engage the advocate for your specific matter.
How do I book?
Send one line about your matter on WhatsApp, through the booking form, or by email — the address is on the contact page. You will get a reply with a time and the fixed fee.
